2025 Cozumel Camp

Twenty-one intrepid souls descended upon Cozumel for our 2025 camp, which went from January 17-24. It was the second official RTS Camp, and it was another extremely successful week of training with friends in unbeatable weather!

But don’t just take our word for it; see what others had to say below, or watch our Cozumel Camp 2025 YouTube recap!

“What surprised me the most about camp was the amount of personal connection and coaching with the professional athletes. It's was insightful and valuable to have that time to ask questions, connect and get valuable feedback on what to focus on during my daily training. Also, we're all on different parts of this journey in triathlon. Don't compare myself to others but rather, learn from and be inspired by their example. Trust the process and do the work.” -David Wheelan, 1st time RTS camper

A group of campers unwind in the rooftop pool.

“I knew RTS was a really fun, awesome group of people. But to my surprise the group of people was even better than I imagined. I could be 1 on 1 with anyone and hold a great convo. The people just made the camp so enjoyable.” -Annie Fuller, 1st time RTS camper

“My favorite part of camp was the whole experience, great place, awesome training and learning from the pros, and a great way to start the season.” -Daniel Castaneda, 1st time RTS camper

“The swim session with Greg was a highlight of the camp. The fact he was willing to spend at least an hour and a half with us developing swimmers and give us basically a semi private lesson was awesome. I can now flip turn because of him…[and]…focus on swimming well for at least 80% of the workout, swimming fast, and taking required rest instead of focusing on long hard reps where form can disintegrate. Please bring Greg back because he was fantastic.” -Will Denis, 2x RTS camp (veteran)

Pro Tip of the Month

From RTS freshman Kate Curran:

Going on a training camp or have one planned? Here are a few things to consider before you go:

  1. Make sure your equipment is ready to rock and roll.

For example, consider getting your bike serviced at least two weeks before your camp to avoid any last minute stress, especially if your TT bike has been on the turbo trainer all winter.

  1. Have a Plan and Stick To It

Before you go on camp, have a clear idea of what your goals are and what you want to focus on. It can be helpful to write them down. Keep yourself on track by regularly checking in with these goals and priorities during your training camp.

  1. Look Good, Feel Good.

Consider treating yourself to a few new bits of kit for your training camp. It doesn’t have to be expensive - new water bottles…bike socks…swim goggles…run cap etc…just something to make you feel excited and extra special on camp.

Editor note: On that third point, the RTS Store is always open!! As of press time, we have hats, socks, tees, and bottles!
